Moggy n Mutt Terms and Conditions
For the purposes of this agreement, the terms Client, Owner and Pet Owner are synonymous with the person contracting services for one or more domestic animals. The term Pet Care Specialist applies to Moggy n Mutt, or any of their employees, contracted for services for one or more domestic animals.

A Policy Agreement must be signed and dated by Pet Owner and received by Pet Care Specialist before service is provided for any period.

Payment in full is due at the time of reservation and paid to Moggy n Mutt only. Reservations are not permanent until payment in full is received by Moggy n Mutt or special arrangements are agreed upon by both parties in writing. Monthly invoices are to be paid within 4 days of issue.

Unpaid service may be cancelled without notice, including prior to or during the service period by the Client or Pet Care Specialist. Full payment of performed services will be due within 14 days of service start date.

If payment in full is not received within 14 days from start of service date, or within 4 days for monthly service invoice issue, a £10 fee will apply and will be applied every 14 days until the balance is paid off in full.

There will be a £20 service charge for a returned cheque.

Cancellation Charge Schedule: Less than 24 hours prior to service start date, and/or holidays: Payment in full is charged (no refunds) 24 hours + prior to service start date: No charge (refund in full).

Holidays Include: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and will be charged at double rate.

Reservations are made to plan Pet Care Specialist’s availability to clients. Therefore, Clients returning home early will be required to pay for the reserved amount of time scheduled, including mileage.

Pet Care Specialist is not responsible for wilted, dead or otherwise unhealthy plants. Please place all indoor plants together on a waterproof surface in plain sight, as Pet Care Specialist is not responsible for water damaged areas or missed plants.

Pet Care Specialist is not responsible for damage to the home beyond the control of the Pet Care Specialist. This includes but is not limited to: leaks, electrical problems, fire, and acts of nature. In these situations, Pet Care Specialist will attempt to contact the Client and then the emergency contact before making a subjective decision on dealing with the problem. All repairs and related fees (including scheduled services, emergency service time and coordination fees) will be paid by the Client, and fully reimbursed to Pet Care Specialist within 14 days of the emergency incident.

Pet Care Specialist is not responsible for any damage to property of the Client, or others, unless such damage is caused by the negligent act of the Pet Care Specialist. Pet Care Specialist accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or any loss if other individuals have access to the Client’s home, or if the home is not properly secured by the Client.

Pet Care Specialist is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under this contract. Pet Owner agrees to secure home prior to leaving the premises. The Pet Care Specialist will re-secure the home in the manner in which it was originally secured by the Owner.

While home keys are in possession of the Pet Care Specialist, they will be either in their possession, or will be properly stored in an undisclosed location with special coding for safe keeping.

Pet Owner must have legal rights to place the animals in the care of pet sitters, kennels and veterinary clinics. The Pet Care Specialist cannot service a home with “visiting” pets or animals that do not legally belong to the resident of the service site without separate sets of agreement forms, including a Legal Agreement, accepted and signed by each rightful owner(s).

The terms of this agreement apply to all the pets owned by the Client, including any and all new pets that the Client obtains on or after the date this document was signed, at any and all locations the Owner designates for service.

Pet Owner is responsible for pet-proofing house, garage, garden and any other outside areas, and the security of fences, gates and latches. Pet Care Specialist will not be responsible for the safety of any pets and will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

Pet Care Specialist is authorised to seek any emergency veterinarian assistance needed during visits, at the cost of the Client, from a veterinarian chosen by the Pet Care Specialist or the veterinarian listed as emergency contact in consent forms. If specified emergency veterinarian is unavailable, the Owner authorises any available veterinarians for service.

The Pet Care Specialist and Client’s designated emergency contacts are not responsible or liable for any illness, injury or medical costs of Client’s pet(s) that may arise while under their care.

Pet Owner is responsible for supplying the necessary and safe equipment/supplies needed for care of their pet(s), including but not limited to: a sturdy, well-fitted harness or collar for walks or in case of emergencies, firmly affixed vaccination tags, a lead rope or leash, poo bags, litter boxes, food dishes, cleaning supplies, medicines, pet food, cat litter and animal bedding. Pet Owner authorises any purchases necessary for the satisfaction of performance duties. Pet Owner agrees to be responsible for the payment of such items, as well as a fee for obtaining items, and will reimburse Pet Care Specialist within 14 days for any and all purchases made including mileage used to travel to the store for necessary items.

Pet Owner will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Pet Care Specialist, or other persons, by the pet. The Pet Owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Pet Care Specialist, in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet.

Arrangements should be made by Pet Owner with a separate party to evacuate pets in case of a disaster, emergency or weather related event or crisis. The Pet Care Specialist will attempt to see to pets safety and care should such events occur, but cannot guarantee it.

The Pet Owner authorises this agreement to be valid approval to permit the Pet Care Specialist to account all future telephone, online or mail reservations and to enter the Owner’s home without additional signed contracts.

Pet Care Specialist reserves the right to terminate service at any time if the Pet Care Specialist, in his/her sole discretion, determines that the Owner’s pet poses a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people, or the Pet Care Specialist. If concerns prohibit the Pet Care Specialist from caring for the pet, the Owner authorises the pet to be placed in a kennel (or previously arranged locale), with all occurring charges (including but not limited to: transportation, kenneling, tranquilizing, treating, accessing, and liability) to be the responsibility of the Owner.

Pet Care Specialist agrees to provide services in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of the services as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against the Pet Care Specialist, except those arising from negligence. Claims of negligence that involve a hired Independent Contractor hired by the Pet Care Specialist will be the responsibility for the Independent Contractor & the company they represent.

Client agrees to notify Pet Care Specialist of any concerns within 24 hours of return.

This agreement is valid from the date signed, and replaces any prior Policy Agreements. Client agrees to any future term changes relayed verbally, in writing, mailed or emailed to the Client.
The owner states that they have read this agreement in its entirety and fully understands and accepts its terms and conditions.
